Big things are at stake on Friday when high school teams enter the final week of the regular season.

Here’s a look at some of the top games in Class AAA:

Callaway (8-1) at Central Carroll (9-0): The game will determine the top two places in Region 5-AAA, with the winner getting the No. 1 seed and the loser going to the playoffs as the No. 2 seed. Both teams have exceptional running games. No. 8 Callaway is led by Cedric Maynard, the leading rusher in AAA with more than 1,700 yards, and No. 6 Central features Damarious Owensby, who has rushed for 1,173 yards. Callaway leads the series 2-1, but Central won last year's game 40-34.

Blessed Trinity (9-0) vs. Cedar Grove (8-1): Region 4-AAA has a play-in format to determine the league's champion. No. 4 Cedar Grove, the first-place team in Division A, will host No. 2  Blessed Trinity, the first place team in Division B. The winner will be the No. 1 seed and the loser will be No. 2. The two teams met under the same circumstances last year and Blessed Trinity prevailed 21-14. Each team has an explosive running back that has surpassed 1,000 yards: Milton Shelton at Blessed Trinity  (1,046 yards, 19 TDs) and LaBron Morris at Cedar Grove. Both teams also have excellent quarterbacks: Conor Davis at B.T. and Jelani Morris at Cedar Grove. Blessed Trinity leads the all-time series 3-0.

Elbert County (8-1) at Oconee County (7-2): The winner will be at home in the first round of the playoffs, the loser will be on the road. Both teams have excellent quarterbacks. Elbert County's Mecole Hardman does most of his damage on the ground, while Oconee County's Zeb Noland knows how to run the offense and is a threat through the air (1,317 yards, 13 TDs). Christian Casey has also rushed for 952 yards for the Warriors. Elbert County leads the series 8-6 and has won the last five games, including last year 42-13.

: Both teams are in the playoffs, but could end up anywhere from first to fourth. A win means a first-round playoff game at home. Jefferson’s Colby Wood is one of the state’s top rushers; he’s rushed for 1,711 yards and 26 touchdowns. Robert Allen is the trigger man for Hart County’s explosive offense, which has scored 38 or more points in five games. Allen has thrown for 1,424 yards and 13 TDs and Trae Stowers has rushed for 673 yards and five TDs. Jefferson leads the series 2-1, including 21-14 in 2014.

The winner advances to the state playoffs and the loser stays home. Appling County, fourth in Region 1-AAA Div. A, has scored 99 points in its last two games and appears to be peaking at the right time. The Pirates are hoping for a similar outcome as last year, when they beat Southeast 34-27 to make the state playoffs. Appling is led by quarterback Keelan Crosby (317 yards passing) and tailback Japheth Morris (661 yards, seven TDs). Southeast, which won Region 1-AAA Div. B, has ridden the duo of fullback Chase Walker (1,100 yards, 21 TDs) and Michael Davis (6.2 yards per carry). Southeast Bulloch has won the only three meetings between the schools.

Cook (6-3) at Jenkins (6-3): This Region 1-AAA play-in game is quite interesting. The winner advances to the state playoff and the loser's season is over. Jenkins has a solid offense led by quarterback Javonte Middleton (1,227 yards passing 13 TDs) and running back Arkeem Byrd (947 yards rushing, 13 TDs). Jenkins has beaten Appling County and lost to Pierce County in three overtimes. Cook is a sophomore-heavy team that is led by quarterback Brandon Doe, who had a four-touchdown game earlier this year against Toombs County. This will be the first meeting between the two teams.
