Region basketball tournaments ended Saturday, and two major upsets in region tournaments will shape the state tournaments in Class AAAAAA.

The No. 1-ranked girls team, Archer, was beaten by Parkview in Region 8. The No. 2-ranked Norcross boys lost to Collins Hill in Region 7.

The results are a couple of super-strong quarters in the brackets.

Archer faces a potential second-round matchup with defending champion and fourth-ranked McEachern, with the winner of that potentially meeting third-ranked Norcross in the quarterfinals. There is another quarter of the girls draw that contains no ranked teams.

In the boys draw, Norcross could play No. 4 Westlake in the second round, with the winner potentially facing No. 5 Shiloh in the third.
