It’s Sectionals Weekend. The top eight finishers in each event in sectional meets will move on to the state meets – May 5-7 in Albany for the girls, May 12-14 in Jefferson for the boys. Today, we look at the girls sectionals.

Fant signs with Kennesaw State

South Paulding senior sprinter Tionna Fant signed with Kennesaw State this week. Fant is a four-year varsity letter winner and the school record holder in the 60, 100, 200 and 400 meters, as well as the 400-meter relay. She is attempting to qualify for the state meet for the fourth time.
