Mark Daniel was announced Monday as the head coach of Schley County, the Americus Times-Recorder reported.
Daniel, the offensive coordinator this past season for Americus-Sumter, has been a head coach at Fitzgerald (1994-95), Screven County (1999-2005) and Wayne County (2008-09). He won a state title at Screven in 2002.
Daniel replaces Josh Kemp, who went 4-16 in two seasons. Schley County started football in 2000 after breaking away from Tri-County High. The Wildcats have made the state playoffs twice (2007, 2008).
