Prince Avenue gets comeback win
No. 2 (Private) Prince Avenue rallied from an early 14-point deficit to defeat Athens Christian (1-1), 30-24 in Athens. The Wolverines trailed 14-0 after the first quarter, but took a 21-14 lead into halftime. In all, Prince Avenue (3-0) scored 30 unanswered points. Grant Roland scored two rushing touchdowns and threw a 29-yard touchdown pass to Mack Simmons.
Mount Paran Christian falls to Bremen
No. 4 (Private) Mount Paran (2-1) fell from the ranks of the unbeaten as the Eagles dropped a 14-10 defensive struggle to Class AAA Bremen (2-0). Mount Paran never led in the contest as the Blue Devils held leads of 7-0 and 14-7. In the first half. Neither team could manage any points in the second half.
Landmark still winless
No. 10 (Private) Stratford Academy led 42-0 at halftime and 49-0 entering the fourth quarter in a 49-13 win over Landmark Christian. The War Eagles are 0-3 for the first time since 1999.
