Allatoona became the first team in the state this season to clinch a region championship when it beat Paulding County 48-20 last week in 5-AAAAA. Twenty-seven more teams have a chance to win a region title this week, and 10 of those teams will be trying to do it against a region opponent that has the same opportunity. I expect Tucker to outlast Lovejoy for the 2-AAAAAA title in what should be a great game at Twelve Oaks Stadium. Look for GAC to end defending state champion Lovett’s reign in 6-AA. Also go with Peach County over Westside-Macon in 2-AAA, Darlington over Coosa in 7-AA and Calhoun County over Mitchell County in 1-A.
