Seth Shuman of Valdosta is the state's leading passer with 1,491 yards. Russell Halimon of Allatoona is the leading rusher with 818 yards. Both are new to GHSF Daily's POY Watch this week.

Derrick Brown, the state's No. 1 senior college prospect, continues to lead.

Brown had eight tackles, four for losses, two sacks, one assist, seven QB hurries and two deflected passes in a 35-0 victory over Cedar Shoals, Lanier's second consecutive shutout. In four games, Brown has 16 tackles for losses, four sacks, 13 QB hurries and a recovered fumble for the No. 6 team in Class AAAAA. Brown, who is uncommitted, is the consensus No. 9 recruit in the country.

2. LB Tre Lamar, Roswell:Lamar's team did not play last week. In three games, Lamar has 34 tackles, 12 behind the line of scrimmage, and three sacks for a 3-0 team ranked No. 3 in Class AAAAAA. Lamar, who is committed to Clemson, is the first AJC Super 11 player in Roswell history. He is rated the No. 8 inside linebacker prospect nationally by 247Sports' composite rankings.

3. QB Trevor Lawrence, Cartersville:Lawrence's team did not play last week. In three games, Lawrence is 49-of-73 for 702 yards and eight touchdowns with one interception. Cartersville is ranked No. 1 in Class AAAA. Lawrence is rated by 247Sports as the No. 1 quarterback prospect in the country among sophomores. He is uncommitted.

4. QB Mecole Hardman, Elbert County:Hardman rushed for 187 yards and three touchdowns, the third one a 49-yarder that sealed the victory, in a 32-19 win over Laney. In four games, Hardman has rushed for 645 yards and 11 touchdowns on 74 carries (8.72 ypc) and is 18-of-46 passing for 288 yards and three touchdowns with four interceptions. Elbert County is ranked No. 4 in Class AAA. Hardman is the No. 1-rated athlete recruit in the nation, according to 247Sports' composite rankings. He is uncommitted.

5. RB/DB Taylor Trammell, Mount Paran Christian: Trammell rushed for 169 yards and four touchdowns on 17 carries in a 56-10 victory over King's Ridge Christian. For the season, Trammell has rushed for 764 yards on 91 carries (8.4 ypc) and scored 14 touchdowns and intercepted two passes. Mount Paran is ranked No. 1 in Class A. Trammell is committed to Georgia Tech as a baseball player.

6. QB Seth Shuman, Valdosta: Shuman was 20-of-27 passing for 290 yards and four touchdowns in a 56-7 victory over Veterans. For the season, he is 94-of-137 (.686) for 1,491 yards and 18 touchdowns. He has not thrown an interception. At 6 feet, 175 pounds, Shuman has no reported football scholarship offers. He also is a college baseball prospect as a pitcher and shortstop.

7. RB/DB Colby Wood, Jefferson:Wood's team did not play last week. In four games, Wood has rushed for 794 yards and 12 touchdowns on 101 carries (7.9 ypc), is 8-of-9 passing for 86 yards and has caught four passes for 70 yards and one touchdown. He has intercepted a pass, forced one fumble and made nine tackles, one behind the line of scrimmage. Jefferson (4-0) is ranked No. 3 in AAA.

8. FB J.D. King, Fitzgerald:King rushed for 186 yards and four touchdowns on 24 carries in a 57-32 victory over Macon County. For the season, King has rushed for 817 yards on 87 carries (9.4 ypc) and scored 22 touchdowns for the No. 2 team in Class AA. King, a junior, has an offer from Georgia Southern.

9. QB Jake Fromm, Houston County:Fromm was 12-of-24 passing for 147 yards and two touchdowns in a 34-14 victory over Warner Robins. In four games, Fromm is 60-of-105 passing (.571) for 982 yards and nine touchdowns with three interceptions for a team ranked No. 2 in Class AAAAA. Fromm, who is uncommitted, is rated the consensus No. 8 pro-style quarterback prospect nationally among juniors.

10. RB Russell Halimon, Allatoona: Halimon rushed for 260 yards and one touchdown in a 25-18 victory over South Paulding. Halimon has rushed for a state-leading 818 yards and seven touchdowns on 120 carries (6.8 ypc) in five games. Allatoona (4-1) is ranked No. 10 in Class AAAAA. Halimon, who rushed for 2,274 yards in 2014, is rated the consensus No. 64 running back nationally among seniors. He is committed to Arizona.
