After a week of only one upset in the Top 10, little changed in the Atlanta Journal-Constitution high school football rankings entering the final weekend of the regular season.

Oconee County scored the lone upset, a 36-35 double-overtime victory over No. 3 Jefferson in a Region 8-AAA game. Jefferson fell to No. 6 and stands in a four-way tie for first place with Oconee, Elbert County and Hart County, each with a game to play. Jefferson had won 23 straight regular-season games and 15 straight in region play.

Four other ranked teams lost Friday, each time to higher-ranked team.

In Class AAAAAA, No. 5 Mill Creek beat No. 10 Norcross 24-0, knocking Norcross out of the rankings. Taking the Blue Devils’ place is Etowah (8-1), which will play at No. 3 Roswell on Friday in Region 5.

In AA, No. 2 Greater Atlanta Christian beat No. 9 Lovett 34-7. Lovett dropped out, replaced by Screven County (8-1).

Dropping from the Class A rankings were No. 9 Lincoln County (lost to No. 8 Aquinas 24-3) and No. 10 Charlton County (lost to No. 5 Clinch County 14-7). Taking their places were No. 9 Irwin County (6-2-1) and No. 10 Emanuel County Institute (8-1).
