Bob Christmas, the coach who made a state contender out of North Hall, is returning to Virginia to coach the school where he won state championships more than 20 years ago.

Christmas’ record at North Hall was 106-46 in 13 seasons. He inherited a team that had gone 0-10 the season before and never won a state playoff game.

"In all my years of coaching, this has been the most rewarding 13 years I have had," Christmas told the Gainesville Times. "The people here have been great, and I've loved being here. But after weighing a lot of things, this move just added up for me."

Christmas will be head coach at Jefferson Forest in Forest, Va., which won state titles in 1992 and 1993. Christmas was Jefferson Forest’s coach for nine seasons. Christmas also coached at Liberty Christian Academy and Liberty Baptist College in Virginia.

During Christmas’ tenure at North Hall, the Trojans won region titles in 2004, 2006, 2007 and 2012 and reached the state semifinals in 2007 and 2012. North Hall was 8-3 last season.
