There are more than 130 former Georgia high school football players on NFL rosters - at least one on all 32 teams - entering the 2017 season openers this week, according to research by GHSF Daily.
The Kansas City Chiefs, with 10, have the most. The Tennessee Titans have eight. The Cincinnati Bengals, Carolina Panthers and Miami Dolphins have seven each.
The Falcons have three Georgia players. They are LB Vic Beasley of Adairsville, DT Grady Jarrett of Rockdale County and LS Josh Harris of Carrollton.
Westlake has the most NFL players among Georgia high schools with four. They are QB Cam Newton, CB Adam Jones, LB Edwin Jackson and OL Chance Warmack.
Schools with three players are Gainesville, Lowndes, Norcross, North Gwinnett, Peachtree Ridge and Tucker. Sixteen other schools have at least two players.
Nineteen Georgia NFL players played at the University of Georgia. Auburn claims 11. Other schools with five are more are Tennessee (seven), Louisville (six) and Alabama (five).
There are several significant former Georgia high school players who are not on NFL rosters this season.
Robert Mathis, a six-time Pro Bowl player with 123 career sacks, has retired after 14 seasons. He played at McNair in DeKalb County and Alabama A&M.
Leodis McKelvin, a first-round pick in 2008 from Ware County and Troy University, did not hook on with any teams.
Jarvis Jones, a first-round pick in 2013, was released last week by the Cardinals with injury settlement. Jones played at Carver of Columbus and Georgia.
The list below includes those on 53-man rosters, injured reserve or suspended lists. They do not include those on practice squads.
