Miller Grove and Druid Hills have head-coaching vacancies, DeKalb County athletics confirmed Monday.

Damien Wimes, a DeKalb native who played under Buck Godfrey at Southwest DeKalb, has stepped down at Miller Grove after eight seasons with a 30-30 record, including a 6-4 finish in 2015. Miller Grove, a state power in boys and girls basketball, has not made the playoffs since the school opened in 2005.

Mark Adams, also a DeKalb native and graduate of old Sequoyah High, leaves Druid Hills after three seasons, each time finishing 4-6. Druid Hills’ record has been 4-6 for six straight seasons. The school has not made the playoffs since 1985.
