How the game was won: Marietta erased a 13-3 halftime deficit to overcome the Hoyas and eliminate them from state playoff contention. The Blue Devils even seemed to have the upper hand in the opening half (led the total-yardage battle 150 to 116 despite the 10-point deficit) but struggled to capitalize on field-position dominance because of turnovers. Marietta outscored Harrison 14-0 in the second half.
Top performers: The Blue Devils stormed out of the halftime gates when Robert Harris returned the kickoff 72 yards for a touchdown, thus pulling within 13-10. ... Roberto Failey scored the game-winner for Marietta on a 37-yard run with 10 minutes remaining in the fourth quarter.
