Peach County fell short last week in its bid to beat three consecutive teams from Class AAAAAA, but the Trojans' wins over previous No. 1 Lee County and previous No. 4 Northside (Warner Robins) are historic. Peach is one of only 20 teams to beat two top-10 teams from higher classifications in the same season. Only one of those teams, Lovett in 2013, beat more than two. Lovett actually defeated four top-10 opponents from higher classes and nearly beat a fifth when the Lions lost to Washington County in overtime after a 5-0 start. Lovett went on to win a state championship that year. Peach won't get a third chance this season because this week's opponent, Mary Persons, is no longer ranked. Here are the 20 that have beaten two or more top-10 teams from higher classes.
