Below are the odds of each remaining playoff team of winning a state title, according to the computer Maxwell Ratings. As an example, McEachern's odds of winning Class AAAAAAA are 15-to-1, per Maxwell. The odds are driven by team strength but also the draw. In two classifications, Maxwell's top-rated team is not given the best odds of winning. That's because their draws are tougher than some of their rivals. The favorite in AAAA, according to Maxwell, is Sandy Creek, which is Maxwell's fifth-highest rated team in that class. No. 1 Cartersville beat Sandy Creek 52-42 in the regular season but potentially faces No. 2 Woodward Academy in the quarterfinals. For similar reasons, Fellowship Christian, ranked No. 3 by Maxwell, is the team with the best odds in Class A private. Note that four-time defending champion Eagle's Landing Christian might face No. 1 Athens Academy in the quarterfinals. That's if ELCA can beat Prince Avenue Christian this week.
