BOYS
No. 6 Landmark Christian (16-3, 8-1 in Region 5) at No. 3 Greenforest Christian (17-1, 8-0), Friday. Both teams are in the top half of the Georgia High Schools Association/MaxPreps Class A power ratings. The winning team should get a significant boost and will have the inside track to be the top-seeded team in the region tournament. Greenforest's only loss of the season was to Class AAAAAA Pebblebrook, perhaps the best team in the state. The Eagles are led by a bevy of Division I prospects, including senior Faisol Abdul-Malik, juniors Precious Ayah and John Ogwuchi, sophmomores Victor Enoh and Justin Forrest, and freshman Mohammed Abdulsalam. Landmark has won its last four games since an upset loss to five-win W.D. Mohammed, 56-48, on Jan. 10. The War Eagles are led by senior point guard Jackson Schultz (18 points, 6 assists), and junior forwards Zack Allen (20 points, 7 rebounds) and Eddie Windsor.
GIRLS
No. 1 St. Francis (14-2) at Osborne (17-2), Saturday. This is a non-region match-up of perhaps the two best teams, regardless of classification, in the state. Both will be coming off of tough games Friday night as St. Francis, No. 1 in the Class A power ratings and in the AJC Top 10, will have faced Region 6 and north Fulton rival Fellowship Christian (10-5), while Class AAAAAA Osborne will have faced Cobb County rival McEachern. St. Francis is led by senior sharp shooter Abby Grant, averaging 13 points per game, and the sophomore front line of Kasiyahna Kushkituah (12 points, 8 rebounds) and Maya Dodson (9 points, 7 rebounds). Osborne is paced by junior guard Zutorya Cook (12 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists, 4 steals), senior guard Nikira Goings (22 points, 6 assists, 2 rebounds, 3 steals) and senior forward Maya Benham (13 points, 8 rebounds).
