Class AAAAAA

Lambert 41, Chattahoochee 26

How the game was won: Lambert never quite pulled away from host Chattahoochee until the final minutes but the Longhorns still led wire to wire. They scored the game's first 14 points in the opening quarter and the closest the Cougars ever got was within three points in both the second and third quarters. All six of Lambert's touchdowns came via the rush.

Top performers: Longhorns' running back Will Kohlins rushed for more than 200 yards and three touchdowns. A 60-yarder gave his team a 28-18 third-quarter cushion and a four-yarder with 1:38 remaining in the game accounted for the final margin. ... Dylan Shepherd added two rushing touchdowns for Lambert. ... Quarterback Bobby Gabriel scored on a one-yard sneak to make it 34-18 early in the fourth quarter. ... For Chattahoochee, Chase Owens tossed a pair of scoring strikes to Alexion Thompson--one from 25 yards out and another for 40 yards. ... Joseph Daniels added a 40-yard touchdown scamper for the Cougars and Jorge Herrea kicked a 36-yard field goal.
