• The Northview Lady Titans are ranked No. 2 in AAAAA-A and are 7-2 overall with a 2-0 in Region 3 play. They recently played in Jacksonville, Fla. where they beat Nease 14-2 and lost to Bartram Trail 18-7. They also lost to Centennial - ranked No. 6 in AAAAAA - this week by a score of 11-7, which could cause them to slip in the rankings. Their leaders this week were sophomore attacker Colleen O'Connell, freshman attacker Sophie Kopec, junior midfielder Amber Scales and senior defenseman/midfielder Alexa Rivard. On the week, O'Connell had 7 draw controls, 3 ground balls, 1 forced turnover, 5 goals and 8 assists; Kopec finished with 9 draw controls, 4 ground balls, 1 forced turnover, 3 goals and 8 assists; Scales had 5 draws, 5 ground balls, 1 forced turnover, 3 goals and an assist; Rivard had 5 ground balls, 3 forced turnovers and 2 goals. O'Connell and Kopec lead the Lady Titans with 23 goals apiece.
• AAAAAA's No. 1-ranked Milton Lady Eagles defeated No. 4 Walton 18-8 on Tuesday in Region 2 play thanks to a Lady Eagles streak of consecutive goals midway through the first half that stretched the lead to 12-5 going into halftime. The Lady Eagles improved to 5-1 and 4-0 in Region 2. Nine Lady Eagles scored and seven of those goals were assisted. Jessi Masinko had 3 goals, 3 assists and 2 interceptions; Brooke Winsness led the scoring with 4 goals and Shapar Mirza collected 14 saves.
