How the game was won: Howard Quarterback Courvoisier King scored on a 1-yard run with 38 seconds remaining and passed to JaQwun Stinson for the 2-point conversion to secure the victory. The winning drive came after Central had taken a 29-22 lead with  4:21  remaining on a 23-yard touchdown pass from Derrick Evans to Denterius Hogan.

Top performers: King also had touchdown passes of 20 yards to Stinson and 19 yards to Alphonso Stephens. ... Stinson added a 40-yard touchdown run and caught two 2-point conversion passes. ... Central QB Derrick Evans completed touchdown passes to Ivory Childers for 53 yards, Qua Pennymon for 14 yards and Hogan. He also added a touchdown on a 15-yard run.
