Last week: Beat Cherokee 42-21. Quintarius Neely passed for 302 yards and five touchdowns, four to Jayden Comma, who had six catches for 191 yards. The score was 21-21 in the first half before Roswell pulled away. Cherokee outgained Roswell 531-437, according to the Cherokee Tribune. Cherokee RB Brittain Brown rushed for 223 yards. *3. (3) Woodward Academy (9-0)

Last week: Beat Whitewater 28-7. Elijah Holyfield returned the opening kickoff 80 yards for a touchdown and rushed for 132 yards and two touchdowns on 22 carries. It was Holyfield's second game since an early season injury. Next: Friday vs. Carrollton (5-4)

Last week: Beat South Atlanta 33-20. Leading only 7-0 after one half, Cedar Grove scored three touchdowns in the first six minutes of the third quarter and led 33-7 when starters were pulled. Last week: Lost to Oconee County 36-35. Colby Wood rushed for 198 yards on 44 carries and scored all five Jefferson touchdowns, but Oconee County won in the second overtime on a two-point conversion that was a tight-end reverse. Last week: Beat Mount Zion 35-18. Taylor Trammell rushed for 214 yards and three touchdowns on 16 carries. Mount Paran led only 21-18 in the fourth quarter when Trammell, playing defense, stripped a Mount Zion player and recovered the fumble. Two plays later, he scored on a 53-yard run to break the game open. Next: Friday at Pinecrest Academy (8-1)

*2. (2) Prince Avenue Christian (9-0)

Last week: Beat Lakeview Academy 56-0. Prince Avenue clinched its third consecutive Region 8 title. Devon Hudson scored on runs of 63 and 42 yards, and Noah Campbell scored on a 65-yard return of a free kick after a safety. Next: Friday at Providence Christian (0-9)

*3. (3) Eagle's Landing Christian (6-3)

Last week: Beat Our Lady of Mercy 41-0. D.J. Hammond passed for 127 yards and three touchdowns. Trevor Gear rushed for 127 yards and two touchdowns. ELCA had nine tackles for losses. Alex Usry kicked field goals of 44 and 36 yards. ELCA clinched its sixth straight Region 5 title. Next: Saturday vs. Mount Vernon Presbyterian (4-5)

Last week: Beat Taylor County 54-12. Lorenzo Smothers scored five touchdowns - three rushing, one receiving and one returning a punt. Smothers rushed for 175 yards on nine carries. Marion County had 363 yards rushing, including 125 on 16 carries by Mykelle Kelly. Marion attempted only two passes and completed both for 51 yards. Next: Friday vs. Central, Talbotton (3-6)

Last week: Beat Claxton 42-12. Demetris Robertson returned the opening kickoff for a touchdown off a lateral, and Savannah Christian was up 21-0 in the first quarter. Last week: Beat Atkinson County 39-0. D.J. Pollard rushed for 127 yards and three touchdowns on 15 carries and intercepted a pass.
