Class AAAAAAA 

1. (2) Lowndes (6-0)

Last week: Beat Valdosta 24-0. Thomas Davis had three sacks, Leon Williams had two, and Lowndes held Valdosta to minus-18 yards rushing. Israel Mitchell rushed for 101 yards and scored on a 68-yard run in the first quarter for a 7-0 lead. Tylar Belcher's interception return gave Lowndes a 14-0 lead with 6:49 left in the third quarter. 3. (5) Colquitt County (4-1)

Last week: Beat Grayson 31-7. Colquitt County took a 24-0 lead in the first half. Jaycee Harden was 19-of-28 passing for 216 yards. Daijun Edwards rushed for 99 yards on 21 carries and set school records for career rushing yards (3,870) and touchdowns (60). Edwards also scored on a 48-yard reception to give Colquitt a 31-7 lead on the first play of the fourth quarter. The victory was Colquitt's fourth against a No. 1-ranked team from the same classification. The others came in 2011 and 2012 (Camden County) and 1985 (Valdosta). Next: Friday vs. Alcovy (1-3)

Last week: Lost to Colquitt County 31-7. Grayson got within 24-7 on C.J. Dixon's 25-yard TD pass to Jaden Smith. Next: Oct. 11 at Shiloh (5-0)

Last week: Off. Next: Friday vs. Edgewater, Fla. (6-0)

6. (6) Hillgrove (5-0)

Last week: Beat South Forsyth 42-19. Reuben Lowery blocked a field-goal attempt and returned it 67 yards for a touchdown and a 21-7 lead, and Trevarus Walker returned a punt 70 yards for a touchdown and a 28-7 lead. Issaiah McCray, Garrett Wilds and James Maddox each rushed for more than 80 yards. Next: Oct. 11 at McEachern (4-0)

7. (8) Parkview (3-1)

Last week: Beat Milton 16-7. Nolan McCord kicked field goals of 47, 43 and 21 yards in the second half after the teams played to a 7-7 tie through two quarters. Cody Brown rushed for 135 yards on 25 carries. Parkview held Milton to 4-of-18 passing, and Terian Williams intercepted two passes. Next: Friday at Norcross (1-4)

8. (9) North Gwinnett (4-1)

Last week: Beat Discovery 52-0. D.J. Hart returned the opening kickoff 81 yards for a touchdown, and North Gwinnett led 35-0 after one quarter. Jordan Hancock returned an interception 36 yards for a touchdown, and Josh Cabalquinto returned a blocked punt for a score. Next: Friday vs. Mountain View (3-2)

9. (NR) Mill Creek (4-1)

Last week: Beat Duluth 58-0. Chancellor Lee-Parker rushed for 126 yards and two touchdowns on only three carries. Next: Friday at Peachtree Ridge (1-4)

10. (10) Archer (3-2)

Last week: Lost to Buford 29-28. Archer drove 86 yards on 17 plays to tie the game 21-21 with 10 seconds left in regulation, then took a 28-21 lead in overtime but failed to stop a two-point conversion that won the game for Buford. Carter Peevy was 17-of-28 passing for 129 yards. Next: Oct. 12 at Newton (4-1)

Class AAAAAA 

1. (2) Dacula (5-0)

Last week: Beat Rockdale County 35-0. Trenton Jones rushed for 105 yards, and Jarrett Jenkins was 5-of-15 passing for 148 yards. Dacula is No. 1 for the first time in history and 5-0 for the first time since 2014. Next: Friday vs. Gainesville (2-3)

2. (1) Valdosta (5-1)

Last week: Lost to Lowndes 24-0. Valdosta trailed 7-0 late midway into the third quarter but didn't recover from an interception returned for a touchdown. Tate Rodemaker was 14-of-25 passing for 133 yards but was sacked five times. Valdosta was held to minus-18 yards rushing. Next: Oct. 11 vs. Houston County (4-1)

3. (4) Harrison (6-0)

Last week: Beat Dalton 42-21. Gavin Hall threw three first-half touchdown passes and Harrison scored on its first six possessions. Hall was 9-of-16 passing for 225 yards. Last week: Beat Mundy's Mill 41-25. Jacobi Haynes was 6-of-10 passing for 195 yards and four touchdowns and rushed for 155 yards and one touchdown. Dequan'dre Moore had three receptions for 90 yards and two touchdowns. Marquel Parks had six tackles, three tackles for losses, two sacks and a 64-yard TD reception. 1. (1) Buford (5-0)

Last week: Beat Archer 29-28. Jarvis Evans passed for a two-point conversion to Treyton Rank in overtime to get the win. Buford trailed 14-0 and took a 21-14 lead when Archer mishandled a handoff on a kickoff return. Carson Garrison recovered and ran it three yards for a touchdown. Gabe Ervin rushed for 123 yards. Next: Friday at Johnson-Gainesville (3-2)

2. (2) Carrollton (5-0)

Last week: Beat East Paulding 44-7. Myles Morris was 12-of-20 passing for 191 yards and three touchdowns, and Mecose Todd rushed for 99 yards on six carries. Carrollton held East Paulding to nine first downs and 126 total yards. Next: Friday vs. Cass (3-2)

3. (3) Bainbridge (5-0)

Last week: Beat Crisp County 14-9. Bainbridge took a 14-0 lead into the fourth quarter and held on. Rashad Broadnax rushed for 87 yards on 19 carries. Quayde Hawkins was 14-of-29 passing for 175 yards and two touchdowns, one a 72-yarder to Deyon Bouie. Next: Friday at Tift County (1-4)

Last week: Beat Northside-Warner Robins 39-0. Jalen Addie was 16-of-26 passing for 198 yards and two touchdowns. Jalen Rutherford rushed for 101 yards on 18 carries. Cian Lewis returned an interception for a touchdown for a 7-0 lead, and Warner Robins was up 27-0 at halftime. Next: Friday at Houston County (4-1)

7. (7) Stockbridge (5-0)

Last week: Beat Columbia 38-37. Jevon McDonald scored on a 20-yard run for a 38-31 lead with 6:47 remaining. Columbia scored with 2:33 left and went for two, but Stockbridge's Braxton Seward intercepted. Stockbridge trailed 31-23 entering the fourth quarter. Next: Friday vs. Ola (4-1)

8. (8) Rome (3-2)

Last week: Beat Cass 49-10. Rome led 42-3 at halftime. Ahijah Blackwell rushed for 173 yards and three touchdowns on 17 carries. E.J. Burks rushed for 57 yards and three touchdowns on eight carries. Next: Friday vs. Woodland-Cartersville (1-4)

9. (9) Griffin (5-0)

Last week: Beat Whitewater 41-14. Darshaveious Foster threw four TD passes, two to Quamari Williams, and Aalijah King rushed for 217 yards and two touchdowns on 28 carries. Next: Friday at Starr's Mill (2-3)

Class AAAA 

1. (1) Cartersville (5-0)

Last week: Beat Cedartown 24-2. Cartersville held an opponent without a touchdown for the third time in five games and lowered its points-allowed average to a AAAA-leading 4.4. Tee Webb was 13-of-27 passing for 186 yards. Jake Brasfield rushed for 69 yards. Sam Phillips had 72 yards receiving. Next: Friday at Central-Carrollton (3-2)

2. (2) Marist (5-0)

Last week: Beat White County 35-20. Marist led 32-7 at halftime and allowed two fourth-quarter touchdowns after the game was essentially decided. Lincoln Parker scored on a 98-yard run in the second quarter. Connor Cigelske rushed for 57 yards and was 14-of-20 passing for 119 yards. Next: Friday vs. Chestatee (1-4)

3. (3) Woodward Academy (4-0)

Last week: Beat Gainesville 35-21. Jaizen Ellingham rushed for 149 yards and four touchdowns on 19 carries. Next: Friday vs. White County (3-2)

Last week: Beat Effingham County 49-34. Burke County had 411 yards rushing. QB Juan'ya Dove ran for 198 on 25 carries. Next: Friday vs. Statesboro (3-1)

9. (9) Troup (4-1)

Last week: Beat Chapel Hill 21-14. Chapel Hill cut the lead to 21-14 by returning a kickoff for a touchdown and had the ball at Troup's 19-yard line in the final minute but failed to convert a fourth-down play. Freshman A.J. Tucker had 14 tackles. Troup led in total yards 305-218. Next: Friday vs. Sandy Creek (4-0)

10. (10) North Oconee (6-0)

Last week: Beat Walnut Grove 59-7. North Oconee led 35-0 after one quarter. Rashad Finch returned a blocked punt for a touchdown and Bennett Toci scored on a fumble return a minute apart. North Oconee is 6-0 for the first time since 2011. Next: Oct. 11 at Madison County (3-3)

Class AAA 

1. (1) Peach County (4-1)

Last week: Beat Kendrick 77-14. Jaydon Gibson was 12-for-17 passing for 313 yards with TD passes of 69, 51, 33 and 12 yards. Dorrian Smith had four receptions for 135 yards and a touchdown and returned an interception for a touchdown. Peach County scored touchdowns on its first two plays from scrimmage and three in its first five plays and led 42-0 in the first quarter. Next: Friday vs. Pike County (2-2)

2. (2) Cedar Grove (3-2)

Last week: Beat Lovett 41-17. Chavon Wright rushed for 234 yards and two touchdowns. Freshman WR Bernard Mack had five catches for 95 yards and a touchdown. Isaiah Ratcliff had two sacks and three tackles for losses. Antonio Taylor got his fourth interception of the season. Alvin Williams had two sacks, and Chris Stinson had three tackles for losses. 3. (3) Pierce County (5-0)

Last week: Beat South Effingham 42-28. C.J. Newton rushed for 220 yards and four touchdowns and had another 37 yards receiving. Jermaine Brewton was 10-of-15 passing for 121 yards and a touchdown and rushed for 58 yards. D.J. Bell returned a kickoff 96 yards for a score. Pierce County never trailed but didn't get into the clear until Newton's 23-yard TD run for the final points with about seven minutes left. Next: Oct. 11 vs. Brantley County (3-1)

4. (4) Greater Atlanta Christian (4-1)

Last week: Beat East Hall 49-7. Jackson Hardy was 14-of-17 passing for 217 yards and two touchdowns. Ten GAC players had receptions, and 29 were credited with tackles. Next: Friday vs. North Hall (3-2)

5. (5) Hart County (5-0)

Last week: Beat Jackson County 56-13. Malachi Thomas had 91 yards rushing, 85 receiving and 65 returning and scored touchdowns in each category. J.L. Lackey rushed for 84 yards and two touchdowns. Next: Oct. 11 vs. Jefferson (3-1)

6. (9) Liberty County (3-0)

Last week: Beat Richmond Hill 31-23. Markel Johnson rushed for 110 yards and three touchdowns on 20 carries and caught an 83-yard TD pass. Next: Oct. 11 vs. Tattnall County (0-4)

7. (6) Appling County (4-1)

Last week: Lost to Wayne County 33-24. Appling took a 24-7 lead on Keon Williams' 35-yard TD return of a fumble but couldn't hold on against Wayne County, a AAAAA opponent. Tyrell Gibson had 10 solo tackles, two for losses. Jeremiah Holmes rushed for 60 yards on 10 carries but was just 3-of-11 passing. Next: Oct. 11 vs. Long County (1-4)

8. (7) Crisp County (3-3)

Last week: Lost to Bainbridge 14-9. Crisp pulled within 14-9 on Jack Carter's 54-yard TD pass to Fred Royal but got no closer. Marquise Palmer rushed for 93 yards on 14 carries. Crisp has lost three games to teams in higher classifications, each by margins of five points or less. Next: Friday at Thomasville (2-3)

9. (8) Lovett (3-2)

Last week: Lost to Cedar Grove 41-17. Lovett got within 21-17 on Blaine McAllister's 7-yard TD pass to Collin Goldberg with 8:36 left in the third quarter but got no closer. Lovett was held to 24 yards rushing, and McAllister was 15-of-35 passing with three sacks. Next: Friday at Towers (2-3)

10. (10) Jefferson (3-1)

Last week: Beat East Jackson 70-6. Jefferson led 35-0 with 4:54 left in the first quarter as the Dragons scored touchdowns on an interception return by Malaki Starks and a punt return by Kam Robinson. Jefferson had 409 yards rushing on 48 attempts and held East Jackson to 42 yards rushing. Next: Friday vs. Franklin County (0-4)

Class AA 

1. (1) Rockmart (5-0)

Last week: Beat Dade County 48-0. Javin Whatley rushed for 102 yards and a touchdown on seven carries and was 7-of-12 passing for 90 yards and a touchdown. Rockmart led 34-0 at halftime. Next: Friday at Chattooga (3-2)

2. (2) Hapeville Charter (3-1)

Last week: Beat McNair 71-0. Hapeville led 50-0 at halftime and allowed only two first downs and 20 yards of total offense. Nae' Saan Dickerson had 115 yards receiving. Jaquez Smith had 103. Antavious Bradley rushed for 109 yards. Next: Friday vs. Douglass (5-0)

3. (3) Callaway (4-1)

Last week: Beat Temple 34-6. Demetrius Coleman was 9-of-14 passing for 244 yards and three touchdowns, and Callaway's defense held Temple's Phillip Johnson, Class AA's leading rusher, in check. DE Anthony Elliott had five tackles for losses and 1.5 sacks. Callaway RB Tank Bigsby sat out with an injured ankle. Antinez Blount had four receptions for 102 yards and two touchdowns. 4. (4) Dublin (4-0)

Last week: Beat East Laurens 77-13. Dublin had 528 yards rushing and scored 11 touchdowns without completing a pass. Three rushers went over 100 yards - Marcus Adams (8-134-3), Zion Kemp (5-109-2) and T.J. Wright (3-101-1). Kemp returned a punt for a touchdown. Romello Height had three tackles for losses, two sacks and a fumble recovery. John Potter was 11-for-11 on extra points. The 77 points were the most in Dublin history. 5. (5) Rabun County (5-0)

Last week: Beat Monticello 49-20. Gunner Stockton was 21-of-25 passing for 327 yards and five touchdowns. Sam Adams had nine receptions for 119 yards and four touchdowns. Hoff Windham had three tackles behind the line. Next: Friday vs. Banks County (3-2)

6. (6) Swainsboro (3-1)

Class A (Private) 

1. (1) Athens Academy (4-0)

Last week: Beat Towns County 77-6. Kurt Knisely rushed for 85 yards and two touchdowns only two carries. Palmer Bush was 5-of-5 passing for 152 yards and four touchdowns. Tre Willis returned an interception 45 yards for a touchdown and scored on a 47-yard reception. Next: Friday at Prince Avenue Christian (4-1)

2. (2) Holy Innocents' (5-0)

Last week: Beat Wesleyan 31-0. Michael Cox rushed for 173 yards and three touchdowns on 35 carries. Interceptions by Sam Aiken and Landon Kardian set up short scoring drives in the second quarter that gave Holy Innocents' a 17-0 lead. Next: Friday vs. Mount Vernon Presbyterian (3-2)

3. (3) Eagle's Landing Christian (4-1)

Last week: Beat Trinity Christian 56-10. ELCA scored touchdowns on eight of its 10 possessions. Keaton Mitchell rushed for 160 yards and five touchdowns, one going 94 yards, on 13 carries. Next: Friday vs. Wesleyan (4-1)

4. (4) Darlington (5-0)

Last week: Beat Mount Zion-Carroll 38-0. Griffin Brewster was 16-of-17 passing for 199 yards and three touchdowns. Kolin Rogers rushed for 111 yards on 12 carries. Darlington held Mount Zion to 39 yards of total offense and three first downs. Next: Friday vs. Christian Heritage (4-0)

5. (8) Fellowship Christian (5-0)

Last week: Beat Mount Paran Christian 48-17. Fellowship rushed for 457 yards with three backs over 100 - Murphy Reeves (14-163-1), freshman Jayven Hall (17-162-2) and Josh Cole (8-113-2). Fellowship has scored at least 42 points in all five games. Next: Oct. 11 at St. Francis (2-2)

6. (5) Wesleyan (4-1)

Last week: Lost to Holy Innocents' 31-0. Wesleyan was shut out by a Class A opponent for only the second time since 2011. Next: Friday at Eagle's Landing Christian (4-1)

7. (6) Prince Avenue Christian (4-1)

Last week: Beat Riverside Military Academy 70-27. Prince Avenue led only 28-20 at halftime but scored 35 points in the third quarter and a final touchdown on the second play of the fourth. Landon Owens rushed for 132 yards and three touchdowns on 11 carries. McKay Melnick rushed for 114 on six carries. Next: Friday vs. Athens Academy (4-0)

1. (1) Irwin County (4-0)

Last week: Beat Telfair County 45-7. Irwin County beat Telfair for the 14th consecutive time and won its 16th straight game in region play. Next: Friday at Charlton County (1-4)

2. (2) Clinch County (4-1)

Last week: Beat Wilcox County 28-22. Clinch County scored the final 18 points after falling behind 22-10 in the third quarter. Demondre Edmonds' 31-yard TD run with 8:56 left gave Clinch the lead for good. Tyler Morehead rushed for 114 yards on 18 carries. Michael Walker rushed for 90 yards on 18 carries Next: Friday at Atkinson County (2-3)

3. (3) Pelham (5-0)

Last week: Beat Miller County 47-0. Pelham led 47-0 at halftime. Kendrick Patterson was 7-of-11 passing for 204 yards and four touchdowns. Cameron Bailey had two catches for 102 yards. Next: Oct. 11 vs. Stewart County (1-4)

Last week: Beat North Cobb Christian 27-21. Gage Stephens rushed for 244 yards and two touchdowns on 28 carries. Bowdon held North Cobb Christian to 101 yards rushing and 9-of-25 passing. Next: Friday vs. Gordon Lee (2-3)

Last week: Beat Stewart County 64-0. Mitchell County scored eight touchdowns on 20 plays as the second half was played with a running clock. Next: Oct. 11 vs. Calhoun County (1-4)

Last week: Beat Madison County 42-14. Tyelon Brock rushed for 117 yards on five carries, and Sam Roach ran for 115 on 22 with three touchdowns. Next: Oct. 11 at Lakeview Academy (0-3)

Last week: Lost to Clinch County 28-22. Wilcox County led 22-10 in the third quarter but surrendered a pair of fourth-quarter TD runs. Desmond Tisdol rushed for 96 yards and one touchdown on 11 carries and had a 57-yard reception. Wilcox was just 5-of-13 passing. Next: Friday at Telfair County (2-3)

8. (NR) Manchester (3-1)

Last week: Beat Marion County 43-14. Anthony Ferguson rushed for 126 yards and three touchdowns on 17 carries. Manchester completed only two passes, both for touchdowns, one for 53 yards to Wydarris Steed, the other for 34 yards to Tylan Hollis. Next: Friday at Central-Talbotton (1-3)

9. (10) Lincoln County (3-2)

Last week: Beat Warren County 41-14. Kolbi Ferguson rushed for 107 yards and three touchdowns on 20 carries. Next: Friday at Washington-Wilkes (3-2)

10. (NR) Turner County (4-1)

Last week: Beat Charlton County 21-14. Elijah Stephens rushed for 177 yards, and freshman QB Amarion Blanks passed for 148 yards. Stephens scored on a 3-yard run with 7:21 left to break a 14-14 tie and also scored on a 58-yard run in the first quarter. Blanks threw a 56-yard TD pass to Aerian Stephens, also in the first quarter. Next: Friday vs. Lanier County (2-3)
