Last week: Beat Camden County 13-10. Valdosta had only 12 yards of total offense in the first half and trailed 10-6 but scored on its first possession of the second half and held on. Last week: Beat Campbell 38-7. Hughes scored 24 points in the second quarter after a scoreless first. Sophomore QB Isaiah Green was 9-of-15 passing for 175 yards and two touchdowns. DT Deonte Jackson had three tackles for losses. Next: Friday at East Coweta (4-1)

Last week: Beat Central Gwinnett 20-10. Dacula returned two interceptions for touchdowns in the first quarter, one by C.J. Mayes, the other by Azeem Cooper. Mayes rushed for 125 yards. Next: Oct. 17 at Brookwood (2-4)

Last week: Lost to Colquitt County 45-27. Lowndes allowed as many as 45 points in a game for the first time in the coach Randy McPherson era. But Lowndes led in total yards 345-298 and first downs 18-16 but suffered three devastating turnovers to Colquitt's one. Dezmon Copeland rushed for 147 yards on nine carries. Last week: Beat Etowah 37-12. Micco Brisker rushed for 124 yards and two touchdowns on 14 carries. Austin McLeod was 17-of-17 passing for 160 yards and two touchdowns. Milton held Raishod Devezin to 29 yards and Etowah to no first downs in the first half. Next: Friday vs. Cherokee (5-1)

Last week: Beat North Gwinnett 17-10.Norcross won a rematch of the 2013 state-title game and held North Gwinnett, the state's leading passing team, to 176 yards in the air. Norcross recovered a fumbled punt in the third quarter, threw a 40-yard pass to the North 6-yard line and scored to go up 14-7.
