The Lambert golf teams are off to another great start.

The Lambert boys won the 31-team Johnny Paulk Invitational at Jekyll Island with an impressive 4-over 292. The Longhorns were led by Armstrong State commitment Spencer Ball, who fired a 2-under 70. Brett Barron and Jordan Baker had 73s and Mitchell Taylor and Stephen Foernsler each had 76s.

The three-time defending Class AAAAAA champion Lambert girls ran away with the Lady Wolves Invitational in Buford with a 221. Lauren Lightfritz shot a 71 to claim medalist honors. Christine McDonnell shot 74, Kayley Marschke shot 76 and Alison Crenshaw had a 78.  The girls also won the Brookwood Invitational at Summit Chase in Snellville, with Tiffany Kang, Lightfritz, Marschke and Kate Owens shooting 13-under in the scramble.

The Lambert boys opened the season with a win at the Coal Mountain Classic at Hampton Golf Club, where all six players finished in the top 10. Grant Sutliff led the team, which scored 145 points in the modified scoring system.

West Forsyth has been a step behind in each event. West Forsyth finished second at Coal Mountain with a 132. Austin Jaynes led the Wolverines with 44 points, sharing top honors with Chandler Eaton of Alpharetta. The Wolverines were ninth at the Johnny Paulk, with Jaynes shooting 75.

Dunagan wins individual title at Bartram Trail

Hunter Dunagan of Lakeside Evans won the Championship at Bartram Trail with a 3-under 69. The two-time reigning Class AAAAA medalist and College of Charleston signee bested States Fort of Greenbrier, a Coastal Carolina signee, and Andrew Chong of Evans by one shot.

Greenbrier won the team title with a 299, with Alex Wells adding a 73 and Matthew Turner posting a 75. Starr’s Mill  was second at 306 and Evans was third at 308.
