GHSF Daily asked Georgia head coaches to answer these four questions. We'll report from a different head coach each day.

Dale Earnhardt, Rabun Gap

1. What is the most memorable game you've been a part of as a player or coach? "My last game as the head coach of Asheville School. In our rivalry game against Christ School (been playing since early 1900s), we were 2-7 and big underdogs on the road. We played an unbelievable game and won 19-0."

2. Which high school coach would you want your son to play for, and why? "Chris Griffin from Flowery Branch. I met him last spring on an FCA-sponsored mission trip to Portugal. He is a great Christian man that certainly knows how to teach the game of football."

3. What is your favorite saying/motto? "'Failing to prepare is preparing to fail.' Great football coaches have their teams prepared for what they will see on Friday night."

4. Which GHSA policy or high school football rule would you most like to see changed? "I think that high school kids are being asked to spend too much time during the summer with practices. I know that 20 years ago, kids simply lifted weights and did some conditioning workouts during summer."

Note: Rabun Gap is a GHSA school but plays football in the North Carolina Independent Schools Athletic Association.
