GHSF Daily's Four Questions feature historically poses the same questions to a different Georgia head coach each issue. This season, head coaches are being asked Four Questions tailored to current events. Today's interviewee is Milton head coach Adam Clack, whose team defeated Cardinal Gibbons, the No. 1 team in Florida' Class 5A, 42-17 on Friday at the Freedom Bowl, a six-game, two-day event at Milton.

Adam Clack, Milton head coach

1. What was the significance of that victory in that venue to your program? "I think this game/event speaks volumes about the community of Milton. It was a huge commitment by so many to pull this off. The support from our administration was phenomenal. The amount of work that our booster club and parents put in was truly humbling. And I'm so proud of our coaches and players for being able to prepare the way they did without allowing the distractions to take away from our play."

2. Milton won 11 games and reached the quarterfinals in 2014, then slumped for a couple of seasons. What has contributed to getting the program back to that level? "Great players, excellent alignment and support from the school and community and competitive spirit that is truly special. We are just focused on making each day count. We feel like if we keep stacking good days on good days, then good weeks on good weeks, the scoreboard will take care of itself." [Before coming to Milton, Clack had coached at West Forsyth for seven seasons, the final three as head coach.]

3. How do you reflect on the Freedom Bowl event? Was it a success, and what stood out to you about the weekend? "I truly believe the Freedom Bowl can become the premiere high school football event in the country. The mission of using high school football to promote and celebrate the men and women that sacrifice so much to make this the greatest country in the world is something that I am proud to be a part of. To say it was a success would be an understatement. Everyone involved will remember the greater meaning behind this event and the lessons of leadership and service that were stressed throughout the weekend."

4. How do you assess your team and its potential moving forward? What do you do well, and where must you improve? "The one thing I know about this team is that they are going to play hard for each other. They believe in their coaches, and their coaches believe in them, and that is a powerful thing. Like every team at this point of the season, we know we have to continue to improve each and every week. Great teams don't rest. If we hope to be a great team, we will have to continue refining and improving on our process."
