GHSF Daily asked Georgia head coaches to answer these four questions. We'll report from a different head coach each day.

Bobby Hughes, Cass

1. What is the most memorable game you've been a part of as a player or coach? "From 1993 to 1995, we [Macon County High School] had absolute wars with Charlton County. We played them when they had Champ and Boss Bailey and then one more with just Boss. The amount of speed and talent on one field between two Class A teams was unreal. We were fortunate to have won them all, but every one of them was extremely physical and came right down to the end of the ball game."

2. Which high school coach would you want your son to play for, and why? "I had the pleasure of playing for Tommy Marshall. I was blessed to coach my own son, but if I could pick one for him to play for it would have been Coach Marshall." [Marshall, the longtime athletics director at Marist, was Hughes' head coach at Walton in the early 1980s.]

3. What is your pet peeve as a coach? "My pet peeve is when we create excuses for things not going our way."

4. Which GHSA policy or high school football rule would you most like to see changed? "The GHSA has a thankless job, but I know not everyone feels like their voice is heard on important issues."
