GHSF Daily asked Georgia head coaches to answer these four questions.
Ed Dudley, Carrollton
1. What is the most memorable game you've been a part of as a player or coach? "Two games: Walton over Valdosta at Raider Valley in the 2004 quarterfinals, and Ware County over Northside-Warner Robins in overtime in the 2012 semifinals."
2. Which high school coach would you want your son to play for, and why? "There are a hundred great men in coaching right now that I would let them play for, but two from the past: Jerry Sharp of East Rome and Darlington and my coach George B. Maloof of St. Pius."
3. What is your pet peeve as a coach or favorite saying/motto? "Favorite motto: 'Do the best you can with what God gave you!' - George B. Maloof."
4. Which GHSA policy or high school football rule would you most like to see changed? "I would like to see them put some teeth in the undue influence and recruiting rules."
Note: Dudley retired last week after 30 years of coaching. His career record is 193-87 in 24 seasons as a head coach. He went to the semifinals twice with Walton (2004, 2007) and had a Class AAAAA runner-up team with Ware County (2012).
