Forest Park, which ended a 21-game losing streak in its opening game on Aug. 18, must forfeit its victory because of the inadvertent use of an academically ineligible player, the Georgia High School Association announced Tuesday.

Hart County also must forfeit its 13-13 tie  game to Elbert County on Aug. 19 for similar seasons. Both were non-region games.

Forest Park's forfeit of a 6-2 victory over Towers on Aug. 18 is perhaps more painful. The Panthers' record is now 0-3, and the losing streak officially stands at 24. Towers is 1-2.

Elbert County is now 2-1. Hart county is 0-2.

The GHSA did not confirm if the violations were self-reported, but they typically are.
