The Vikings (7-4) took control in the fourth quarter. Trailing 10-7, they scored two quick touchdowns on a 19-yard pass from Dalton Cox to Titus Moore. Aquinas (6-5) muffed the ensuing kickoff and FPD recovered on the 20. A few plays later, Cox scored from 1-yard out for a 21-10 lead. FPD will travel to McDonough to face No. 1 Eagle’s Landing Christian Academy (10-0), whose head coach, Jonathan Gess, once served as an assistant at FPD.

The Paladins methodical offense was just enough to edge the Cougars. Pinecrest (8-3) quarterback Ryan McCarthy’s 1-yard touchdown run with 30 seconds left in regulation, his second short scoring run of the game, was the difference. Brookstone (4-7) had evened the score at 7-7 with eight minutes left on a 1-yard run by quarterback Josh Long. The Paladins will travel to Norcross to face No. 8 Wesleyan (8-2) next week.

The Patriots (6-4) built a 21-6 first-half lead and never looked back. Mt. Pisgah eventually went up 35-12 before Athens Christian (7-4) scored two late touchdowns to close the gap. The Patriots will travel to Bogart to take on No. 2 Prince Avenue Christian (10-0).
