Calhoun's 6-AAA victory over Adairsville last week was the Yellow Jackets' 89th consecutive victory in games that counted in the region standings, and 102nd straight victory against any region opponent in the regular season (including teams not in Calhoun's subregion). Which school has the second-longest active streak of victories in games that count in the region standings? (Answer Thursday)

Answer to Tuesday's question: The schools that hold the Georgia record for consecutive shutouts in one season are 1985 West Rome and 1975 Americus, with 11. Manchester in 1984 and Fort Valley in 1957 shut out 10 straight opponents. One of Fort Valley's was a 1-0 forfeit. Lincolnton had shutout streaks of nine games in both 1962 and 1963.
