Four teams scored 70 or more points last week. That is the first time that has happened on one calendar date in Georgia history, according to the Georgia High School Football Historians Association. It has happened several times that three teams have hit 70. The closest to having four occurred on Nov. 7, 1997, when Thomas County Central (73), Macon County (72) and Washington County (70) hit 70 or better and Grady beat Carver of Atlanta 69-6. Here are the 10 games in which a team has reached 70 points this season, including the four from Friday night.
