The Class AAAAAA semifinals comprise four 13-0 teams. It has happened only four times in GHSA playoff history that all four semifinalists in one classification were unbeaten and untied. This is the first time it has happened since 1996, when the GHSA expanded the state playoffs to 32 teams. The last time it happened in the highest classification was 1960. Class AAA (the largest at the time) had only four regions in 1960, although two of them had region championship games preceding the four-team state playoffs.
