Jackson defeated Peach County 3-2 on Friday. It was only the 11th time in GHSA history that a game ended with a 3-2 score. As a matter of trivia, two Georgia head coaches have been in involved in two 3-2 games - Billy Henderson and Dale Williams, both members of the GACA Hall of Fame. The two faced each other in a 3-2 game in 1968, with Henderson's Willingham team of Macon beating Williams' Baker team of Columbus. Henderson later coached a second winning 3-2 game with Clarke Central (beating another hall-of-fame coach, Robert Davis of Warner Robins). Williams also coached one at Waycross.
