Darlington 23, King's Ridge 6: Darlington finished off King's Ridge after a 1-hour rain delay. Darlington dominated the contest thanks to 100 yards rushing and two interceptions by senior Trent Edge. Darlington moves to 2-1 and hosts Bowdown at home next week.

Lovett 21, Woodward Academy 20: The host Lions leapt to a 21-0 lead in the third quarter, then survived a furious Woodward comeback. Lions quarterback Willie Candler accounted for three touchdowns, two of which were passes to Will Geraghty (8 and 10 yards). Woodward running back Elijah Holyfield ran for touchdowns of two and seven yards while quarterback Jes Southerland tossed a touchdown pass to Josh Johnson for nine yards with 34 seconds left. However, Lovett blocked the extra point to preserve its victory. Holyfield ran for 260 yards while Candler rushed for 123.
