MACON -Halle Huff scored six minutes into the game, Reagan Glisson added a second-half goal, and top-ranked Greater Atlanta Christian held off Region 6-AA rival Lovett for a 2-1 win the Class AA girls soccer championship game Friday at Mercer University's Five Star Stadium.

The victory gave GAC its second consecutive state championship and third in four seasons. GAC (17-3-1) won all three meetings by one goal this season against Lovett (13-8), which was seeking its first state title since 2005.

Huff lofted in a header from in front of the net for a 1-0 lead with 34:09 to play in the first half. Glisson made it 2-0 with 25:40 remaining in the game when she dribbled around a defender down the right sideline, raced toward the goal and scored in the bottom right corner.

Lovett cut the lead to 2-1 with 11:52 left when Grace Jackson knocked in a header off a pass from Estee Park.
