Defending champion Calhoun has four players on the Class AAA preseason all-state. That's no surprise. But the fact that another team has more is news.

That team would be Cedar Grove, the Region 4-AAA runner-up that lost to Calhoun 38-18 in the 2014 second round.

Cedar Grove has five players on the preseason team, four that rated among the top 50 college prospects in their class in Georgia. Those would be seniors Antwuan Jackson (No. 6) and Elyssee Mbem-Bosse (No. 30) and juniors Tre Shaw (No. 25) and Netori Johnson (No. 11, committed to Alabama), according to 247Sports' composite rankings.

The fifth Cedar Grove preseason all-state player is running back LaBron Morris, who in 2014 rushed for 1,727 yards, the most of any returning AAA player.
