The regular season is winding down and the playoff picture is taking form, with several big games in the coming week that will determine the playoff seedings.

Here's a look at this week's games involving top 10 teams:

No. 3 Wesleyan (7-0, 4-0 Region 6) travels to Lovett (4-4, 4-1). Unranked Lovett has four losses, but it can flip the playoff picture in Region 6 with a home win over the Wolves. Currently, GAC and Wesleyan lead the region at 4-0, with Lovett a half game behind.

It’s worth noting that despite all of the Lions’ troubles this season, they have never lost to Wesleyan. The Wolves closed the gap last year, with Lovett edging out a 30-24 win in front of Wesleyan's home crowd.

Again, the disruption Lovett could cause with a win over Wesleyan is worth keeping an eye on.

Of the other ranked Region 6 teams, newly-minted No. 2 GAC (6-1, 4-0) plays Holy Innocents (2-6, 1-4), while No. 6 Pace Academy (5-2, 2-2) - currently in fourth place in league play - goes up against Hapeville Charter (4-3, 1-3).

Early County (5-2-1, 3-1 Region 1) visits Brooks County (6-2, 4-0). The No. 8-ranked Brooks County Trojans have made their case as a state title contender. They entered last week No. 10 and proceeded to beat No. 2 Fitzgerald, which was undefeated. The Bobcats are long overdue for a win in this series, last winning in 2007.

If the Trojans continue rolling through their schedule, they’re a team that grabs the attention of any AA contender. But first, they must take care of business in league play, as this game is a battle for first place in Region 1.

Also in Region 1, No. 7 Fitzgerald (6-1, 2-1) will look to get back on track against Pelham (4-3, 1-2).

Top-ranked Benedictine (7-0, 4-0 Region 2) takes on winless Groves (0-7, 0-4) as it seeks its second region title in three seasons.

No. 4 Rabun County (7-1, 4-0) takes on Washington-Wilkes (3-4, 3-0) with Region 8 on the line, though the Wildcats are a 28-point favorite according to this week's Maxwell projections. In Region 7, No. 5 Darlington (7-0, 3-0) takes on a 1-7 Armuchee team that's 0-4 in league play.

No. 9 Jefferson County (5-2, 3-0 Region 3) plays Harlem (2-6, 1-3), and No. 10 Macon County (5-2, 2-0 Region 4)  - the Bulldogs re-entered the top 10 this week - takes on Northeast (0-7, 0-2).
