Class AA's top ranked team, Benedictine, remains undefeated.

In other words, the Cadets are 1-0. They beat GAC on Aug. 21 and didn't play the week after. Or this past week. After two weeks of rest, they will again take the field this week against Liberty County, a team they beat 44-13 last year.

No. 5 Pace Academy continues to dominate, having beat A's No. 5 team, Landmark Christian, 38-30. It will be interesting to see if the win merits the Knights moving up in the rankings yet again.

Lovett is now 0-3 after dropping a close game to Marist, 16-15. Surely the No. 8 Lions drop out of the top 10. They also have to play Woodward Academy this week, which is the No. 3-ranked team in AAAA.

All the other top 10 teams (No. 2 Fitzgerald, No. 3 GAC, No. 4 Macon County, No. 7 Vidalia and No. 9 Rabun County) won, except for Lamar County (No. 6) and Darlington (No. 10), both of which enjoyed a bye week.
