Asia Durr did it again. The St. Pius star scored all 18 of her team’s points in the second half, including a 15-foot game-winner as time expired in the Golden Lions’ 35-33 win over Marist on Tuesday.
Durr, a senior guard, is considered one of the top college prospects in the nation. She has signed with Louisville. She scored a career-high 49 points in a win over defending AAAA state champion Redan in December and became St. Pius’ all-time leading scorer earlier in the season.
The Lions have won 67 consecutive regular-season region games and 53 straight versus teams in the same classification. After winning the last two state championships in Class AAA, St. Pius moved up to Class AAAA this season.
The Lions (13-1) are at Arabia Mountain on Friday.
