1. The wide receivers have a combined eight receptions – seven by Micheal Summers, one by Antonio Messick. There will be opportunities for freshmen Harland Howell, Christian Philpott and Brad Stewart to play this fall.

2. That Jabari Hunt-Days is on the chart despite not having his eligibility restored says something about the coaching staff's confidence in his ability to do so in summer school.

3. The entire starting secondary (cornerbacks Chris Milton and D.J. White and safeties Jamal Golden and Demond Smith) is made up of seniors.

4. Dennis Andrews is not among the top four at A-back and behind two players (Clinton Lynch and Qua Searcy) who have never played. Johnson described him as "rusty" late in spring practice. He said of starter Isiah Willis, a walk-on, that "Ike knows where to go."

5. If the depth chart had been presented in nickel, which the team primarily plays, I would think Lynn Griffin would be inserted as the starting nickel.

6. Breakdown of the top 44 by class: Seniors: 16 (7 offense, 9 defense); Juniors: 12 (5/7); Sophomores: 11 (5/6); Freshmen: 5 (5/0).

7. Breakdown of the starting 22 by class:  Seniors: 11 (4/7); Juniors: 8 (5/3); Sophomores: 3 (2/1); Freshmen: None.
