Former Georgia Tech cornerback Chris Milton has received interest following his blazing 40-yard dash and solid pro-day workout. Milton said he has heard from three or four teams letting him know of their interest.

“Position coaches as well as scouts,” Milton said. “Some of them just followed up from pro day.”

Milton gained attention by running the 40 in 4.35 seconds at an NFL regional combine in New Orleans in March. At Tech's pro day, he broad jumped 10'3" and recorded a vertical jump of 34 inches, both good scores.

He continues to work out, both with trainer Chip Smith in Norcross and at Tech.

“I pretty much did everything I could do,” he said. “It’s out of my hands. Just pray about it, and whatever happens, happens.”

Chances are that Milton will be signed after the draft, which takes place next week, as an undrafted free agent. His physical tools and his special-teams performance figure to make him an attractive possibility for a team to take to camp.

“Like I said, whatever happens, happens,” he said. “I’m just blessed to be in this position.”
