When and where Georgia Tech All-American Ollie Schniederjans plays golf is apparently now something of a big deal.
The Big Lead, a popular sports blog, put up a post Wednesday afternoon detailing tee times for noteworthy players at the Quicken Loans National with the headline:

That's Rickie Fowler, one of the most popular young players on tour, Tiger Woods, owner of 14 major championships, Justin Rose, who has 14 international tour victories, including a U.S. Open, and Schniederjans, who turned pro last week.
Schniederjans earned broadcast coverage time at the Open Championships with a strong third round at St. Andrews, ultimately finishing 12th. (I had a strange experience at my hotel at the ACC Kickoff, when I was eating breakfast Sunday morning in the lobby while he was finishing his round. At the table next to me, a family was watching the broadcast and debating how his last name was pronounced - schnee-der-jans or schny-der-jans.) (It's the latter.) He also played well enough at his debut at the Canadian Open (again in the third round) to be brought in following his round for a news conference. He tied for 22nd there.

The number of followers to his Twitter account has roughly tripled since the Open, 3,361 as of Thursday morning. Callaway announced that it has signed him to a deal for clubs, balls, gloves and putter.
Evidently, Schniederjans is not merely a long name, but an increasingly large one, as well.
