It’s still two weeks away, but No. 16 Georgia Tech has at least two believers in its Sept. 19 matchup against No. 11 Notre Dame – ESPN analysts Lee Corso and Kirk Herbstreit.

On College GameDay Saturday morning, in a discussion, both predicted that the Yellow Jackets will come out of South Bend, Ind., with a victory. Host Rece Davis asked panelists if the Irish would make it through September undefeated. Corso, Herbstreit and Desmond Howard all said they would not.

Said Herbstreit, “I think Georgia Tech gets ’em, and Clemson gets ’em.”

(Notre Dame actually plays Clemson Oct. 3.)

Added Corso, “Georgia Tech beats Notre Dame in South Bend."

Herbstreit, who has picked Tech to win the ACC, followed Corso by saying that “I think that team’s for real. They’re a top-10 team.”

Kirk Herbstreit picked Georgia Tech to win ACC; what's his track record?

Notre Dame opens the season against Texas Saturday night and goes to Virginia next week. Tech will play its first game against Notre Dame since 2007 the following week.
