Georgia Tech published its post-spring depth chart in its media guide for the 2016 season. Depth charts are to be taken with a grain of salt, as they can be fluid and don't necessarily reflect which player would step in if a starter were injured, but do give some indication of how players stand. Freshmen who arrived in the summer are not included.

While TaQuon Marshall's play at quarterback was one of the big stories of spring practice , Matthew Jordan stays as the No. 2 quarterback, which makes sense, in that Jordan has more grounding and experience at the position. ... Dedrick Mills is second behind Marcus Marshall at B-back, noteworthy as he is an early-enrollee freshman who had to leapfrog Marcus Allen, Quaide Weimerskirch, KirVonte Benson and C.J. Leggett (although Leggett, who has been dismissed, was a non-contact player in the spring and Benson was practicing for the first time in his return from a torn ACL.). ... Isiah Willis has held onto a starting spot at A-back. Qua Searcy showed promise before suffering a season-ending injury in the Notre Dame game and could have overtaken him. It's somewhat moot; those two, Lynn Griffin and Clinton Lynch stand to be in a regular rotation, and the competition will also include Nate Cottrell and J.J. Green. There's not overwhelming experience, but this is a pretty strong group.
The lack of depth is pretty pronounced on the line. Of the five backups, Bailey Ivemeyer, Brad Morgan and Scott Morgan are redshirt freshmen (Ivemeyer is a walk-on) and Jake Stickler is a sophomore who played in two games last season. Only center Brad Marshall has extensive playing experience. It also speaks a little bit to the limitations of depth charts. My guess would be, in the case of an injury to one of the tackles, for example, Will Bryan would move from left guard to tackle and Marshall would move to left guard, or perhaps Marshall would move to the tackle spot. Marshall would also likely be the No. 3 guard. Regardless, it's a group that isn't terribly deep. There's opportunity for incoming freshmen to make an impression in preseason camp and play this season. ... Of the 13 backups, there's two juniors and the rest are freshmen or sophomores.

Interesting that Chase Alford is ahead of Brant Mitchell, even though Mitchell started three games last season as a first-year freshman and had 36 tackles. ... Francis Kallon has been slotted as a starter, a reminder of the expectations on him going into his senior season. He has not started in his first three seasons, but he'll be needed to play a big role in the interior with the graduation of Adam Gotsis. ... None of the three backup cornerbacks have played a college snap. Dorian Walker and Meiko Dotson redshirted last year, and Lamont Simmons sat out last season as a transfer after redshirting in 2014 at USC. I've heard a lot of good things about them, but they'll have to learn quickly. On the same topic, the five starting defensive backs have a combined three starts.

Interestingly, there's no mention of long snappers, holders and returners. Casey Wilson returns as a snapper and Ryan Rodwell handled holding duties. The return jobs are likely up in the air with Jamal Golden having graduated.
