Former Georgia Tech center Daniel Miller has signed a contract to play in the Spanish basketball league.
Miller will play the 2014-15 season for the club Rio Natura Monbus Obradoiro, according to the team's website. The club is in the premier Spanish league and is based in Santiago de Compostela in northwest Spain.
After going undrafted, Miller played with the Washington Wizards in three summer league games in Las Vegas in July. He scored six points in 20 minutes of play with one rebound. Playing in the D-League was another possibility, but Miller ultimately decided on playing in Spain.
In a news release on the club’s website, coach Moncho Fernandez said that Miller stands out defensively, but can also contribute offensively.
The club’s season begins in October.
