Passengers were reporting increased police presence at some rail stations during the Tuesday morning commute, and at least one rider spotted a K-9 police dog with and its police handler patrolling the platform at Inman Park station shortly after 8 a.m.

In the wake of a suspected terrorist attack at a Brussels airport and transit station, a spokesman for MARTA could not confirm whether the transit agency had taken any additional measures to beef up security.

The transit agency is planning release a public statement around 1:15 p.m. at its Lindbergh Station headquarters.

The official MARTA Twitter pages for service updates, @MARTASERVICE and @MARTAalerts, did not include any information for passengers related to security measures.
