Summer vacation season is winding down. Folks are getting back to work, and kids are preparing to go back to school.

But if you’re like me, you’re still dreaming of the open road. So I’d like to know: What’s your favorite summer driving song?

Share your favorites and why you like them, and we’ll publish your favorites and comments later this week. Maybe the playlist will get you a few miles down the road on your end-of-summer trip - or just make your commute more bearable.

Send your nominations to dwickert@ajc.com.

The song that’s been stuck in my head for a few days? ZZ Top’s “I’m Bad, I’m Nationwide.” Sample lyric:

"Well I was movin' down the road in my V-8 Ford

I had a shine on my boots, I had my sideburns lowered

With my New York brim and my gold tooth displayed

Nobody give me trouble 'cause they know I got it made

I'm bad, I'm nationwide"
