Weather Channel host Sam Champion is among the luminaries whose portraits will deck the walls at the newly renovated interior of The Palm restaurant in Atlanta.
He was posing for some photos with local broadcaster Mara Davis, whose gorgeous visage is already among those greeting diners indulging in steak, lobster and other Palm delicacies when - like a rainbow after a shower - plucky publicist Liz Lapidus magically appeared.

The Palm restaurant, in the Westin Buckhead Atlanta, closed briefly this summer to allow time for its stunning new facelift. The refurbished restaurant now boasts additional seating capacity and a more spacious feel. The bar now opens into the lobby.
What's unchanged: the tender steaks and succulent lobster that Palm fans have come to know and love.

, who has been painting for The Palm restaurant group since 1994, provided about 300 famous faces when the Atlanta location opened in 1995.
By the time the renovation launched, there were thousands.
In preparation for the reopening, Bird was back in town recently working on an mural of Atlanta landmarks and a few new portraits. Bravo's Andy Cohen, maestro of "The Real Housewives of Atlanta," has a nifty new likeness on one wall.
