Swan House Ball to honor longtime civic leaders

The 2017 Swan House Ball, to be held April 22, will honor the family of May and Philip H. Alston Sr., longtime civic and philanthropic leaders. The impressive roster includes James L. Alston, Robert C. Alston, Philip H. Alston Jr., Anne Alston Glenn, Birnie Alston Jordan, Cotten Alston, Elkin Alston, Jimmy Alston, Stuart Alston, Alston Glenn, Bob Glenn, Jack Glenn, Lewis Glenn, Amanda Alston Gregory, Fletcher Jordan, Jimmy Jordan and Daphne Alston Marane.

The black-tie event begins at 7 p.m. with cocktails at the Swan House, where scenes from the “Hunger Games” series movies “Catching Fire” and “Mockingjay” parts 1 and 2 were filmed, followed by dinner and dancing in the Atlanta History Center’s Grand Overlook Ballroom.

During the evening, guests may visit the current exhibit “Gatheround: Stories of Atlanta.”

This year’s co-chairs are Barbarella Diaz and Bea Perez. The Coca-Cola Co. is the presenting sponsor; platinum sponsors include Alston & Bird, Cox Enterprises, Delta Air Lines, Greenberg Traurig and Jenny Pruitt, Atlanta Fine Homes Sotheby’s International Realty.
