June 2, 2018 Atlanta: — HAT TRICK — Atlanta United forward Josef Martinez scores his third goal of the night on a penalty kick for the hat trick and a 3-1 victory against Philadelphia Union during the second half in a MLS soccer match on Saturday, June 2, 2018, in Atlanta. Martinez is now tied for the MLS record for career hat tricks with 5. He is the fastest player in MLS history to achieve this. Curtis Compton/ccompton@ajc.com

Predicting Atlanta United’s 11 vs. Houston

Who will be in Atlanta United’s (9-8-3) starting 11 when it takes on Houston (8-8-3) on Wednesday at Mercedes-Benz Stadium?

The team has no fullbacks, other than Michael Parkhurst, and he’s a centerback.

I think the team will play a 3-5-2, but I’ve often been wrong trying to read Frank de Boer this season.

Goalkeeper Brad Guzan

Centerback Miles Robinson

Centerback Michael Parkhurst

Centerback Leandro Gonzalez Pirez

Right wingback Julian Gressel

Left wingback Dion Pereira

Defensive midfielder Eric Remedi

Defensive midfielder Jeff Larentowicz

Attacking midfielder Darlington Nagbe

Striker Pity Martinez

Striker Josef Martinez

This also wouldn’t surprise me:

Goalkeeper Brad Guzan

Right fullback Michael Parkhurst

Centerback Miles Robinson

Centerback Leandro Gonzalez Pirez

Left fullback Gordon Wild, which is now obviously wrong because he was waived Wednesday morning.

Defensive midfielder Eric Remedi

Defensive midfielder Darlington Nagbe

Right midfielder Julian Gressel

Left midfielder Justin Meram

Attacking midfielder Pity Martinez

Striker Josef Martinez
