Here are the results of Doug Roberson’s weekly MLS Power Poll:

1. LAFC (19-4-5)

Last week: 1.

Defeated by Minnesota 2-0.

No Carlos Vela and this team looked very average.

-

2. Philadelphia (15-8-6)

Last week: 3.

Defeated Atlanta United 3-1.

-

3. NYCFC (14-5-8)

Last week: 4.

Won at Vancouver 3-1.

-

4. Atlanta United (15-10-3)

Last week: 2.

Lost at Philadelphia, 3-1.

I wouldn’t worry too much about the loss to the Union. This team was gassed after 8 games since Aug. 3, including two with trophies on the line.

-

5. Minnesota (13-9-6)

Last week: 7.

Won at LAFC 2-0.

Though the Loons lost the U.S. Open Cup, its win at LAFC was a huge statement.

-

6. Seattle (13-8-7)

Last week: 6.

Defeated L.A. Galaxy 4-3.

-

7. Real Salt Lake (13-11-4)

Last week: 5.

Lost at Portland 1-0.

-

8. San Jose (13-10-5)

-

-

10. Dallas (12-10-7)

Last week: 12.

Defeated Cincinnati 3-1.

-

11. L.A. Galaxy (13-12-3)

Last week: 8.

Lost at Seattle 4-3.

This team isn’t good enough.

-

12. New York Red Bulls (12-12-5)

Last week: 9.

Defeated by Colorado 2-0.

13. D.C. United (11-10-9)

-

14. New England (10-9-9)

Last week: 13.

They are now done in the East. The supporters deserve better.

-

19. Colorado (8-14-6)

Last week: 21.

Defeated New York Red Bulls 2-0.

-

20. Montreal (11-15-4)

Last week: 19.

-

21. Chicago (8-12-10)

Last week: 20.

Draw at Columbus 1-1.

-

22. Houston (9-15-4)

Sell Mauro Manotas already.

-

23. Vancouver (6-15-9)

Last week: 23.

Defeated at Montreal 2-1 and defeated by NYCFC 3-1.

At the beginning of the season, some were saying that this team was a darkhorse in the East. I think that horse was actually a bum steer.

-

24. Cincinnati (5-20-3)

Last week: 24.

Lost at Dallas 3-1.

The first to 20!
